Copper Ruah

Our Ruah style, a Hebrew word meaning “breath” “wind” or “spirit”, refers to a spiritual practice of drawing out prayers that have no words. It begins with drawing on the metal with soapstone, while channeling inner dialogue and connection with God, then cutting out with a plasma cutter. The copper then filed, ground and sanded to achieve a matte finish, highlighting the material’s pinkish hues on the outside and left raw with process on the inside, complete with spatters of baked on rubber in the kiln and finished with a solid rubber inner base.
